The Scouting Area Committee(SAC) on Joint Base Lewis McChord's plan is to bring scouting to the whole community of JBLM. It's our personal responsibility to ensure our programs are all inclusive. Families of scouts will know that wherever their military journey takes them, their children will carry with them the skills that make them better citizens and better members of their communities. The SAC will do that by following the Mission and Vision Statements of the Boy Scouts of America.
Scouting Area Committee is a 501c3, approved private organization on JBLM, WA.

We are for boys and Girls in Kindergarten through 5th grade. We meet on Monday evenings during the school year and a few times a month during the summer. Our cubs learn the foundation of leadership, citizenship and personal growth through activities with their peers and families.

ScoutsBSA Troop 62
Building character, self-confidence and leadership skills for youth ages 11 through 17. Our scout led program consists of activities from weekly meetings that include but not limited to hiking, camping, fire building and various merit badges. Many of our scouts earn the highest rank in scouting, Eagle Scout. Troop 62 has been serving the JBLM community for over 100 years.

Crew 62
High adventure! Youth led! Co-ed! Crew is the place to be for young people ages 14-20 who are looking for a new adventure. Venturing is entirely youth led and the activities are planned and executed by the crew with adult guidance and supervision!

Meets Mondays during the school year at 1830 (6:30 PM).

Meets Thursdays at 1900 (7:00 PM) and enjoys monthly campouts throughout the year.

Meets on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month at 1830 (6:30 PM).
